Dans 75 % des cas, il constate une déviation de l'axe de QRS vers la gauche en orthostatisme, donc une horizontalisation du cœur en position debout, par rapport à la position couchée : l'auteur qualifie même cette horizontalisation de paradoxale par opposition aux modifications posturales habituelles, en l'absence d'interférences gastrodiaphragmatiques.
